Why consider poker coaching with Andrew Brokos?
With a background in teaching, debate, and philosophy, I bring more to my coaching than just poker skill. I am an accomplished no-limit hold ’em player who has been winning big, both live and online, for over fifteen years. Yet it is my ability to explain, illustrate, and teach the critical poker concepts that you need to understand that sets me apart from other coaches.
A lot of great poker players can tell you what they would do in a given situation, but can they articulate their reasoning in a way that makes it useful to you? Will they be able to explain something in a different way (or two) if you don’t understand it the first time? Do they challenge you to evolve your thinking? I firmly believe that no other poker coach possesses the combination of teaching experience and poker skill that I can share with you.
How does coaching work?
Lessons are conducted online via Skype. All you need is a microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a (free) Skype account.
What type of students do you teach?
I’ve worked with students from a wide variety of poker and life backgrounds. Many are serious amateurs, others currently are -or wish to be- full-time poker pros, and others are looking to supplement a day job or keep income steady during retirement. I have had students from all over the world. As long as you are comfortable being coached in English, I’d love to have you!
How are coaching sessions scheduled?
My schedule is very flexible: you simply email me and we arrange a time that works for both of us. Because I can be available morning, midday or evenings in my time zone, I’m able to accommodate students from a wide-variety of time zones and schedules.
How much does coaching cost?
Most coaching is $250/hour, though I offer package discounts for my popular Crushing Cash Games ($1250, 6 hours for the price of 5) and Dominate Donkaments ($1250, 6 hours for the price of 5) programs. Hand History Review Videos, where I review your play and record a custom video for you rather than discussing with you in real-time are only $125/hour.
Is it worth the cost?
Yes! See what my past students have said. How quickly would you recoup your investment if you were able to double your hourly rate? If you’re a tournament player, you can hardly afford not to invest in coaching. A single mistake at a final table could cost you tens of thousands of dollars. Think about what kind of wins you could stack up if you were playing at your full potential.
What if I just can’t afford it right now?
Join Tournament Poker Edge and watch my strategy videos. Even if you’re interested in cash games, much of the material in my theoretical videos will be relevant to you, and you’ll get a better idea of what coaching with me would be like.
