A piece that I wrote, entitled “Attacking and Defending Dead Money in Tournament Poker“, appears in this month’s issue of Two Plus Two Internet Magazine. Although getting published in an internet magazine isn’t quite as prestigious as appearing in print, Two Plus Two Publishing is the largest and most prestigious published of poker and other gambling books. The 2+2 message boards, of which I’ve been a member for more than two years, are also one of the most popular poker forums on the internet.
The article itself is good but not great, in my opinion. It was my suspicion, and the feedback that I’ve gotten corroborates this, that it would be a useful and clearly written introduction to some advanced tournament concepts, but would not containt much information that would be new to even a moderately successful tournament player. I’m working on a follow-up article to submit for consideration for the April issue that will address these concepts with greater depth and sophistication.
If you’ve got any comments on the article or thoughts about what you’d like to see in the future, please leave me a comment here or on the 2+2 Magazine Forum.
