The tournament cold-deckings continue, with me busting the Sunday million set under set after accumulating an above average stack three hours in, losing a huge pot with set under set in the $500 WCOOP satellite (which had a remarkably small and tough field, hopefully that will change with time), and this little gem from the FTP $500:

Obviously I massively misread his range. I was thinking he’d have an underpair to the A almost always, and was focusing on how to get paid by exactly those hands. Granted the turn bet was a little surprising, but at that point I was thinking he either had AK/AQ/lower set, in which case I was going to win a big pot no matter what, or he was trying to blow me off an underpair, in which case I want to give him rope. Thus, I wasn’t too worried about the straight on the river. Whoops.
This value shove cheered me up a bit though:

Sadly, I busted this one anyway with AQ losing to AJ all-in preflop with 72 players left and 24 seats.
