Forgot to mention this with all the excitement of the WSOP, but my latest poker strategy article, Capped Ranges, is now appearing in the 2+2 Magazine. Here’s a tantalizing excerpt:
“On the turn or river, it is often possible to determine, based on how he has played on earlier streets, that your opponent will rarely or never have a monster hand. This is sometimes called a “capped range”, meaning that there is an upper limit to how strong your opponent’s hand can be. If you are able to determine this limit, you can both value bet all of your better hands strongly and represent better hands when you need to bluff, putting your opponent in a very difficult spot.”
Also, now that the website’s been revamped, the article archive is once again up-to-date. You can find old favorites or strategy advice that you missed the first time around in one convenient location.
Like the new look…thumbs up to Emily. GL in the ME.
Oh…but fix the ‘designed by’ link at the bottom.
Thanks for the heads up- link fixed. It had made it relative for some reason, even tho nothing else in WP is relative…
