I was looking through my Stat Counter log today for a glimpse of how people were finding my blog, what links and search terms they were using, etc. I came across two funny ones. Well, the first is really more disturbing than funny. One person googled “How to kill everyone with your mind” and found my review of Kill Everyone. I tried it, and I am in fact on the first page of search results for that phrase on Google.
A lot of poker players google their own screen names to see what others are writing about them. I think that’s a pretty normal curiosity and not excessively egotistical or anything. But someone, presumably FU_15, searched for “FU_15 keep dominating online poker”. That’s kind of presumptuous.
Hi again Andrew,
Just wanted to wish you a hearty congratulations on your wsop finish. A great achievement and it was nice to have someone to root for in the field. It’s strange how one can form an affiliation to a team/player despite knowing very little about them. You seem like a good egg though, so rather you than a Gold type thats for sure!
Of course I dont know you from Adam but I’ve been a big fan of your blog for a good while now.
Anyhow, with that in mind I was hoping we, your loyal readers, would be treated to a lengthy wsop trip report soon. Nothing too fancy, just say 3000 words detailing key hands, emotions as you went deeper, some of the characters you played with, the name players, bustout hand, family reaction, your thoughts about the money and any feelings you have as to who the winner will be as I assume you must have played with 3 or 4 of the finalists. Nothing too taxing, so shall we say perhaps a first draft by the end of July? ;-D
Well done once again mate and we all look forward to reading this soon!
Kind Regards,
Nick from London
