Whispering Shouts
Loved the interview!
I had to comment on your notebook. First – what a good idea! This is something I struggle with too – “live” tournaments are supposed to be easier (softer fields, live tells, etc) but I too struggle with maintaining information in my brain that is automatically provided when playing online. How many BBs do I have? How many does each opponent have? What should my open/3bet sizes be and how should that change depending on my/my opponent’s stack? I find myself constantly calculating and recalculating this stuff and much of my brain is pre-occupied by basic arithmetic. It’s distracting and I think leads to mistakes (by me). Second – yo, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I’m not a psychiatrist, but this issue seems pretty strongly correlated with my symptoms and areas of weakness related to ADHD. Just something to think about discuss with a therapist or mental health professional if you’re so inclined.
Grats again on the great interview. Look forward to hearing your name more in the future.
