In the last three years, Thinking Poker listeners have raised more than $25,000 for the Bay Area Urban Debate League. I’d love to set a new record this year, and to make that happen, I’ve got a special reward exclusively for folks who donate to this year’s fundraiser:
Every person who donates $5 or more gets to ask a question. This is your chance to get any bit of poker-related wisdom you’d like from me, though you’re free to ask about non-poker stuff as well. With the help of some guests (Nate has already volunteered, so feel free to pose questions for him as well), I’m going to create a series of podcasts in which I answer all of your questions and share all of the answers with everyone who donated. So basically, $5 gets you not only the chance to get your poker question answered but exclusive access to the answers to everyone’s poker questions.

The Bay Area Urban Debate League is a non-profit organization with which I’m deeply involved as a Board member, volunteer, and donor. Debating in high school and college changed my life, and in the 17 years that I’ve been involved with the urban debate movement, I’ve seen it change the lives of hundreds of kids from disadvantaged backgrounds. If you enjoy listening to me talk about poker on the Thinking Poker Podcast or in my strategy videos, well, debate is the reason I can think as critically and analyze things as clearly as I can. Please help me extend this opportunity to young people who stand to benefit tremendously from it.
If you’d rather hear a testimonial from a BAUDL debater, check out the video below. “[Debate] made me feel like I was smart, which I didn’t feel before that.”
Great programs (BAUDL and your show)! Thank you for consistently bring great content. Here’s to a happy and prosperous 2019.
