Of course donations are always welcome, but the Bay Area Urban Debate League‘s end-of-the-year fundraising campaign ends at, well, the end of the year. Which means that you’ve got a little more than 24 hours to make your contribution, if you haven’t already. Remember, any donation of $10 or more will enter you into a drawing for a free month at Tournament Poker Edge, free Nitcast stuff, or even a free custom video.
Thanks to everyone who’s donated already, you’ve far exceeded what I thought we were likely to raise. As a result, it’s been tough to keep pace with releasing all the free strategy videos I promised. Thankfully Nate came through in a pinch and gave me permission to use some videos we’d previously recorded. So here’s the first of a three-part series in which we have fun reviewing my play in a PLO8 WCOOP event. Enjoy, and happy new year!

tks guys. this was quite helpful for a plo8 newb like myself.
one preflop decision i was curious about was the fold in the bb with 9sQcJs2c. it sounded from his tone that nate found this a quite bad fold. (CO opened 3x, button called, sb folded, hero in bb). i would have thought this was a fold also (1 way hand, only 3 cards work together, double-suited but neither flush draw is the nut flush, OOP.) is it mostly that there’s enough high potential to scoop that makes it playable? or more the odds you’re getting?
