Choose Your Podcast This Week

That’s a coy way of saying we don’t have a new episode for you. We’ll be back with new material next week! In the meantime, we encourage you to catch up on recent favorites like Mike McDonald and John the Lawyer (seriously, if you skipped this one because you don’t recognize the name, go back and listen) or dip into the archives to hear some of our greatest episodes of all time!

  1. I chose John the Lawyer, again. Glad I did.

I recall thinking the first time through, that I did almost write to the show expressing concern over AB’s frozen pipes, but didn’t for two reasons. One, it would do no practical good to express concern for a past event, as the podcast is on a delay of at least a few days if not a week. Two, a little disregard might help keep you working hard to please the ungrateful masses. Since then, at least one week without Nate and two weeks without any new content.

So let me say for the record, Andrew, I hope everything works out with your frozen water pipes. As a local car dealer says in his ads down here in the South, “we love you and we need you”.

  2. You have disappeared from cardplayer.com’s list of bloggers and your posts no longer appear there. Have you parted ways?

    • Yes, nothing rancorous, I just didn’t like seeing my articles and blogs appear with Lock Poker ads on them. On a personal and professional level I had nothing but good experiences with them. Glad you found me here!

        • +1. The Lock ads were objectionable. It’s great to see someone taking a principled stand against them, however small.

      • Boom! Nice job.

I wonder if you have anything in the works to write about your FTP reimbursement experience? I know you were not compensated for FTP points for example and my impression is that this was a huge pain in the ass. As someone working on the side of rehabilitating the brand under new ownership, I have an interest in how the malfeasance of the previous ownership was (insufficiently, in my current opinion) resolved. I think readership would be much interested. Instead of talking about almost milk every opportunity we should get the poker ethicist back on track :).
