My latest video series is going up now at Tournament Poker Edge. It’s a hand-for-hand review of a $200 WCOOP “Sunday Warm-Up”. The notable thing about this tournament is that I late registered and had 30 – 40 BBs for most of the tournament, and I think I exhibit a lot of what ought to be fundamentally sound play with those stacks. Enjoy!

I have recently been bemoaning the fact that I’ve had this stack and shorter for most of my live MTT play in the past couple of weeks. I’ve learned so much about hand reading playing cash that it sucks to not have a stack where I can get in there post flop and use that new knowledge. I was essentially done with live MTTs because of this frustration until I saw this series. This was so needed. I gotta embrace my inner nit when I am handcuffed like this. That is extra hard to do live.
I tag vids for TPE so I get to see some of them before they debut. I can tell you that you guys are in for a treat.
Spoiler alert: Andrew displays incredible range using phrases from “existential reasons” (I used Google and I still don’t know WTF this means) to “drop it like it’s hot” (no problem with this one) to refer to poker situations. I was in awe. This guy makes the best videos ever.
Thanks, brah. I feel the same way about badly structured MTTs. This video was among other things a helpful reminder to myself.
In this context, I was using “existential” to mean “having to do with existence”. In other words, choosing not to play a hand because of the threat to your tournament life would mean folding it for “existential reasons”.
I wonder what Sartre would’ve said about that.
