AK Call Down

I was looking to check-raise flop. When he checked it back and the turn is a brick, he’s got a wide range but a narrow value range so it’s check-call, check-call.

  1. Just wanted to say how much i like the new hand history converter!! I can finally read the suits at work…Hope you keep it.

    Thanks

  2. For what it is worth, I have a pretty good computer screen and I can barely see the white typing. AT first I thought it was a spoiler of some sort you couldn’t see.

  3. Hm suits always worked for me, but not anymore, so I guess someone always has technical problems:) That being said, letters work just as well…

    • +1 can’t see suits (could see others fine)
+1 white text really hard to read, but its effectively a spoiler so i guess ok.

      • Hint: HIGHTLIGHT the white text and it becomes very readable. (highlight means put your mouse over it, left mouse button down, drag over the text.)

      • I don’t get it- aren’t the suits just letters now? What’s not to see?

The white is supposed to be hard to see. If there were an easy option to turn that off, I might, but if I’m going to use this converter regularly, I’m not going to bother deleting the html tag every time. Like KittyLiquor said, it’s intended to be highlighted and then read.

  4. I don’t know the dynamics of the game at hand, but I’m curious as to why you didn’t lead out on the flop?

    • This is a flop I’d check-fold with a fair bit of my 3-betting range, so I’m actively looking for opportunities to check-raise it. It’s going to be hard to get him to fold better hands no matter what I do, but I think checking is a better way to get him to put money in the pot with worse.

  5. “he’s got a wide range but a narrow value range”.
I believe the button has exactly the same opinion about your range.
You both realize that the main profit in HUNL comes from forcing your opponent to leave equity and money on the table.
The button overestimate the power of his agression aganst good hand reader.HU$=aggression + hand reading.
