Tournament Statistics
Certainly an above average year in tournaments, with an FTOPS win, a WCOOP final table, a SCOOP final table bubble, and a top 100 finish in the WSOP Main Event. No room to complain about anything here. My true ROI is probably in the neighborhood of 100%, so I ran well above expectation. The high average buy-in and field size indicate that I focused my play on big buy-in events and special huge-field events like the WCOOP, FTOPS, and Sunday tournaments, which was the goal.

Cash Game Statistics
These numbers aren’t as bad as they look. Basically I got creamed in some high stakes heads up games, and those dragged down my overall win rates. Excluding heads up games, I’m up across the board, even in high-stakes games (2.5 BB/100 win rate). Basically I just need to either get better at heads up, stop playing it, or at least practice better game selection.
I’m also a little unhappy with the number of hands played. Because of my nomadic lifestyle, I was on my laptop for most of the year, with just one monitor. Thus I often played just 4 tables at once. It’s been nice getting back on two monitors, and I’m looking forward to getting a lot more hands in for 2011.

Best Game
10/20 Pot Limit Hold ‘Em. Played 3 hands and won $270, for a win rate of 450 BB/100.
If you want a serious answer, it’s $2/4 Rush NLHE Full Ring, where I played 75K hands with a 6.55 BB/100 win rate.
Worst Game
1/2 Rush NLHE 6-Max. Played one hand and lost $2, so -100 BB/100. Somewhat more devestating was my -31.44 BB/100 over 2700 hands of 25/50 Heads Up NLHE.

How did 2010 treat you?
Your 6.55 BB/100 win rate in $2/4 Rush NLHE Full Ring over sample 75K hands is spectacular.
When rush poker was introduced I was very sceptical I assumed that the game will evolve and it will be a zero-sum game
The game format seemed to limit your ability to make player specific -exploitative play.
The game where 99% of participants will finally deploy similar “optimal” strategy something like:tight is right and rock it up, and rake it in.
Your example shows how I was wrong. You should post more about Rush concepts.
Happy New Year Andrew and better stat in 2011!
Thanks! You don’t need a player-specific strategy to play exploitively (although you can get those as well, at 2/4- I have thousands of hands on some regs). There are exploitable mistakes common to most players at a given stake. Also not everyone knows how/wants to play “solid” and what most people mean by solid is actually quite exploitable anyway (not bluffing enough, for one thing, and playing badly/predictably in deep-stacked situations).
OK.TRUE. but stilll you are missing plenty of information vs standard format poker.
Table dynamics, sesion dynamics, your opponnet emotional state are jut example.
Lately I realize that when facing difficult dicision I utilize not just assumption my opponnet logical reasoning but his emotions too.
Andrew you are “killing poker robot” with “good” internalized poker objectives – self improvement, etc.
Most players are not like you.
Their primary internalized objective is: “Just Win”. Failure or success change their “decision tree”.
Example
In hu sng 50BB effective stack my opponnet goes 4 times preflop insta-allin in a row.
The opposite will be true.
I go allin and this is this my 4th attempt in a row.
In Rush you will have very limited context when facing my allin.
Gratz on an pretty epic tournament year!
