For 250BB’s, no less. My flop call isn’t great, but only because people’s ranges are nowhere near what they should be in these spots.

I’m also not a fan of his river call. Yeah, diamonds missed, but I really shouldn’t have those after calling a big bet on a paired board anyway.

  1. So if diamonds are out, why would bigger pocket pairs not be out too? The ~6% chance of hitting can’t be worth that much, right?

    I probably fold on the river, but it looks like the 8 or a bluff.

    • Fair point. Overpairs don’t necessarily need to hit to win, but yeah, I think you’re right that I’m not betting too many of them on the river even if I do call the turn.
