This was kind of a gameflow thing, but I’d been playing pretty aggressively in position, lots of triple barrel bluffs and thin value bets. This is just a spot where I can be expected to bet a lot, and it didn’t make sense that Villain would randomly take the lead if he actually had the nuts. It’s a perfect spot for a check-raise. My guess is he’s either blocking/value betting or turning something into a bluff, but in any event my pair of 4’s is no good.
NB: On my browser all suits now appear black (even diamonds and hearts).
This is as it should be. They are treated as characters now, just like a letter, number, or # sign, rather than as images. I imagine it’s a bit harder to follow for those who could see the images but considerably easier for those who could not.
I say let’s go back to the old way… It seems like it was just one person who could not view the suits at work as I had no problem. These characters are difficult to differentiate
I’m going to try putting them in color, but actually several people left comments saying they couldn’t see the suit images at work.
Instead of doing:
4♥, 7♥, 10♦
…how hard is it for you to do:
4♥, 7♥, 10♦
?
Bah, it stripped all the tags … how hard is it to do:
[span style=”color: #f00″]4♥[/span], [span style=”color: #f00″]7♥[/span], [span style=”color: #00f”]10♦[/span]
?
Simpler even than that- there’s a tool in WordPress to change the text color with a click. I’ll try it for a few posts and see if I get annoyed by it.
Well it’s a big improvement for me – thanks!
Yup there were quite a few of us who couldn’t see the suits previously. Thanks for the efforts Andrew, this makes it a lot easier to follow, though you might consider just hosting the previous images on imageshack or something? I don’t think any corporate firewall is going to block that..
Thanks for the suggestion, but it’s not as simple as that. The whole shebang is produced by a hand converter, ie a website where I enter the text hand history and it turns into HTML code suitable for blog posting. I’d have to change all the links by hand, which I don’t relish doing.
