It’s always tricky to play big draws on the turn. With two cards to come, I’m usually happy getting all of the money in on the flop, preferably with some fold equity as well. But when the turn blanks (or in this case gives me three more outs), my equity goes way down. Whether to play aggressively depends on how much fold equity you expect to have and whether you can get paid off if you hit on the river. When dude underbet the pot here, I felt he would sometimes fold and that when he did call, I would almost always have at least one live overcard plus a double gutshot straight draw. Hadn’t factored in the ol’ open limp-call-call with Aces trick. I guess JJ and TT are in his range here as well? He still tanked before calling, so I think my line was good, given that he may well have pitched something like QJ.
