Edit: The converter screwed up the results on two of these, showing me as the winner when in fact I got stacked. I’m fixing this now, sorry for the confusion.
For whatever reason, I decided during last night’s session that I was going to believe people a lot less than I usually do. It didn’t go so well. Here’s some hands:

I’ve got a ton of hands with this guy, and he’s the most uncreative player ever. The only reason I had to disbelieve him is that he usually leads his sets on the flop. Although he turned it in this case, I don’t think that validates my play. This player just isn’t the sort to play QJ or something like this, and is definitely not the sort to do it as a bluff. The fact that he was willing to play for stacks matters more than the fact that he didn’t play it the way he usually plays his sets.
This one’s a little more defensible:

I know, I know, he gave me the min-check-raise and everything. But you have to understand how hard I’d been whaling on him. I think this was the 4th hand in a row where I’d raised his limp and then hammered the flop. I wanted him to play back at me, but I still think the river ought to be a fold.
For what it’s worth, I did get him back a few hands later:

Once again, my image here was pretty bad. This isn’t a board that’s likely to hit an UTG limp-caller, unless he’s playing a big pair really slow. And my hand looks so weak when I check the flop and bet the turn that it’s a good time to make a move. I give these clowns too much credit for being able to make smart, aggressive, creative plays.
This post is schizophrenic. You say it didn’t go so well, but you only show 1 lost hand (with 3 victories). You start off saying that you didn’t give your opponents enough credit, and end by saying that you give those clowns too much.
Get back on the meds. 😛
Oh wow. The converter posts the hand results in white, and since I already knew the results, I didn’t look at them in the post. Guess I should have, because it screwed them up. I’m going to edit the original post, but in the AK hand I lost to trip 9’s, and in the hand where I called down with a pair of Kings on the AKxxx board, I was up against a set of Aces. Thanks for pointing this out.
